Eric Mbadinga-Nzamba, Chief Instructor
Eric Mbadinga was born on March 4th
1975 in Gabon, Africa. After training in Tae Kwon Do, Mr. Mbadinga left for
overseas to attend college in France. He graduated with an Associates Degree in
Sports Marketing from the University of Perpignan and moved to the United States
in 2001.
From 2001 to 2005, Mr. Mbadinga resided in Atlanta, Georgia and
resumed his martial arts training at the Choi Kwang Do International
Headquarters located in Kennesaw. Due to his talent and dedication, Mr Mbadinga
was quickly appointed as an Assistant Instructor and was allowed to attend
intense training seminars with the founder of Choi Kwang Do, Grandmaster Kwang
Jo Choi, 9th Degree Black Belt. On september 17th 2005, Mr. Mbadinga's lifelong
dream of achieving Black Belt level became true. Shortly thereafter, he was
certified as Chief Instructor in Choi Kwang Do and was promoted to Head
Instructor at the Choi Kwang Do Martial Art International
school.
On July 15th
2005, Mr Mbadinga’s wife was offered a position as an Assistant coach at Rice
University. After the decision was made to move to Houston, Mr Mbadinga saw the
opportunity to be the pioneer of Choi Kwang Do in Houston and quickly opened the
first Choi Kwang Do school in the city.
Because of his
belief in the unique benefits that Choi Kwang Do has to offer to young and old,
Mr Mbadinga's long term goal is to open up many schools in the state of Texas.
Choi Kwang Do Houston is a member of a network of over 400 schools worldwide
under the banner of Choi Kwang Do Martial Art International.
